What Is A Cookie?

A cookie is a small data file sent by our Site onto your device (computer, tablet, smartphone or similar device) each time you use the device to visit our Site. Cookies allow the Site to recognize you and make your next visit easier and more useful to you. The use of cookies is an industry standard and, as such, you will find that most major Websites use them.

A cookie itself contains no personal data and does not collect any personal data, however, they can store user settings and other information.

Through the browser settings, users can choose to reject all cookies or be alerted when a cookie is sent. However, some functions or services on the site may not be available or may not run properly without cookies.

What Do We Use Cookies For?

We use cookies in various ways relating to the Site functionality and analysis. When you use and access our Site, we may place a number of cookie files in your web browser.

Functional cookies store user settings and ensure the all aspects of the Site, including integrated third party services, perform correctly. When users block or delete cookies, portions of the site and/or third party services will not be available.

Statistic cookies are used to understand user behavior in order to improve user experience while visiting the Site. When users block or delete cookies, data cannot be used to improve the user’s Site experience.

What Types of Cookies Do We Use?

Permanent cookies, also known as persistent cookies, are not deleted when you close your browser but are saved on the device until they are deleted or become invalid. These types of cookies can be used to track your browsing across different sites in order to show you targeted advertisements when you visit.  Other uses may be stored when that site requires information, such as your preferences, for the next time you visit that site. ATTG does not utilize permanent cookies through its Site.

Session cookies, sometimes called a transient cookie, are generated when a user first visits our Site. Session cookies contain a randomly-generated ID number that becomes associated with an individual’s device. They will expire if you reach a default time-out limit, if you clear your browser cache, or when you completely close down your web browser.

This Site uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses text files, “cookies”, which are stored on your device and which enable analysis of the web pages you have used. The information generated by the cookie about your use of our site is generally transferred to a Google server located in the USA where the data is stored. In the event of the activation of IP anonymization on this site your IP address will be transferred to the USA location and if you are located within the European member states or in other contractual states of the European Economic Area Treaty be previously abbreviated. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server located in the USA, where it will then be abbreviated. Working in accordance with a contract with the operator of this Site, Google will use that information to evaluate your use of the Site to generate a report about site activities and other usage of the site and other services associated with internet usage for delivery to the Site operator. The IP address transferred by the user in connection with Google Analytics will not be added/aggregated with other data by Google. You can prevent the storage of cookies by making appropriate adjustments to the settings of your browser; we would, however, point out that if you make such changes, you will not have full access to all functions of this site. You can prevent collection of data by Google Analytics by clicking on the following link. This sets an opt-out cookie which will prevent future collection of your data when visiting this site: deactivate Google Analytics.

For more general information about Google Analytics and data protection please visit https://support.google.com/analytics/topic/2919631. We would point out that on this site, Google Analytics has been extended with the function code “gat_anonymizeIp();” to guarantee anonymised collection of IP addresses (a process known as IP masking).
